This course is for you!

The Bible can be tricky to understand. Many people think it can be read like a novel, beginning at Genesis and ending with Revelation. We like to think that we have a slightly better way. This course is inductive, non-judgmental, and a perfect place to get your bearings on the Bible. The Bible, the infallible Word of God, belongs to the Church. It is the tool of God given for correction, reproof, and training in righteousness. Yet all too many people think that the Bible is simply too difficult to understand. Come and experience that God has Good News for everyone.

This course is not, however, for those people with vast amounts of biblical knowledge. Beginners' study is geared for those who need a place where they can journey through the Bible without feeling less than those who are more biblically literate. That is to say, there are no questions too simple, or too basic.

Currently we are using The Story, a narrative account of the Bible that does indeed read like a novel.  We read one chapter a week and come together to discuss our questions or wrestling with the scripture's meaning.  Non-paraphrase versions are also used to clarify any ambiguity.

We meet on Wednesday evenings from 7pm-9pm from September through May.  We do not meet during Lent. We welcome your presence and participation.
